Lahore Qalandars have appointed Russell Domingo as their new head coach ahead of Pakistan Super League 10. He replaces Darren Gough who made himself unavailable due to personal commitments.
Darren Gough was appointed Qalandars Head Coach in November last year for Global Super League in Guyana where team finished at second last position by wining two matches and losing two and eliminated in group stages, after that yearly this year in January he appointed as head coach for upcoming Pakistan Super League season 10.
But after Gough announcement of unavailability Qalandars announce Former South Africa and Bangladesh Head Coach Russell Domingo as thier new coach ahead of upcomming Pakistan Super League season 10, recently he works as batting and assistant coach for Sunrisers Easter Cape in SAT20 where the team finishes as runners up of the league, after appointment Russell said, “I am really excited to be part of the Lahore Qalandars for 2025 PSL season. I can’t wait to get to work, meet the players and get to know the management and start of preparations for what promises to be an amazingly exciting campaign. We know we will have all the support from our faithful supporters and I look forward to making you all proud in the coming weeks.”
In an statement by the COO Lahore Qalandars Mr. Sameen Rana said, “We are delighted to have Russell Domingo join us as head coach for PSL 10. vast experience at the international level, combined with his ability to strategize effectively, makes him an invaluable asset for the Qalandars. We believe his expertise will contribute immensely to our team’s success in PSL 10.”
The Upcomming Pakistan Super League season 10 will begin from next month April 11th 2025 with first match taking place at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium against the defending champions Islamabad United taking on the former champions Lahore Qalandars.
